UEFA over, time to move on.

Well the Euros are over, and although I was pulling for Germany to win it (after France fell flat on their face), I am very pleased that the Spanish won.. This tournament showed that teams can win playing attacking football. They can play the beautiful game and not rely on overly defensive tactics with a couple brilliant plays like the French and Italians in 2006. The Dutch, Russian, and Spanish teams all provided us with brilliant games, that hopefully will continue through the World Cup qualifying cycle and then the World Cup.

But in the meantime, I'm waiting anxiously for Domenech to get sacked, Deschamps to get appointed, and my boys in blue can start kicking some Serbian, Romanian, and Austrian ass in the World Cup qualifying cycle. A couple USA 2-0s against Mexico would be nice as well :-).

Next games:
France at Sweden (friendly) 20th August
USA v. Guatemala 20th August
France at Austria (1st qualifier) 6th September
USA v. Cuba 6th September

ALLEZ LES BLEUS! C'mon you Yanks!
